The building is conceived as the “home” of a foreign diplomatic mission in our country. It is not addressed to a specific nationality, but aspires to achieve the universal air of a modern building stripped of any unnecessary ornamentations. The interior follows the same principle – simple, clear shapes without unnecessary details; work with natural materials – solid wood, veneered MDF, metal, textiles, natural stone bringing a sense of balance and stability – purposefully sought after effects of a representative building. Two vertical glass highlights, unique small “botanical gardens” penetrate the architectural space of the building. The interior space is functionally divided into two zones – representative and purely residential area. On the second level spacious atrium leads to bedrooms and a guest room in a separate section from the main building of the residence.
